Sanna & Adi – Engagement Shoot

just a week or so ago I spent an afternoon in Cape Town’s DeWaterkant district with soon-to-be-wed couple, Sanna and Adi. Now generally speaking one might say that July in the fairest Cape is not the best time for a fun, outdoorsy type photo shoot… and generally you would be right! Generally you’d be freezing your jewels off whilst the couple clung to each other like Rageltjie DeBeer and her brother… However the past few weeks haven’t exactly been NORMAL. It’s been bloody balmy, to say the least. Global Warming 1 – Cape Winter 0! So to say this shoot was a pleasure is a massive understatement. We walked the little cobbled roads of upper DeWaterkant, laughed, joked, took the odd photo and ended up having an ice cold brewsky at the local ’round the corner. Not an altogether crappy way to spend an afternoon.

The wedding is right around the corner (this coming Saturday) but it feels like just yesterday that I met Sanna at a friend’s wedding (which I was covering) and she simply announced: “you will be my photographer when I get married one day!”… and here we are! Can’t wait for the beautiful Elgin wedding this weekend — sure to be a ripper, so stay tuned!
